Tai Chi is often referred to as meditation in motion. It is a non-competitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching promoting flexibility, balance and physical control. To do Tai Chi, you perform a series of postures or movements in a slow graceful manner, coordinating movement with breathing. Each posture flows into the next without pausing, ensuring body is in constant motion. Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability can practice Tai Chi. It does not take physical prowess; rather Tai Chi emphasizes technique over strength.
