Pink Pumpkin Pedal-Off
Start: Saturday, October 12, 2013
Gainesville , FL 32610
Registration Closing Date
Friday, October 11, 2013
Join us on Saturday, October 12th at 8:00 am for your choice of 22-, 40-, or 62.5-mile routes and tour the University of Florida campus, Gainesville's historic southeast district, local lakes and habitats, and roll along one of Florida's converted rail-trails.
Treatment-resistant breast cancers account for more that 25% of all breast cancer deaths, yet research on these aggressive cancers is grossly underfunded.
You can help fund critical research by participating in the Pink Pumpkin Pedal-Off. Proceeds from this event will benefit the University of Florida "Therapy-Resistant Breast Cancer Research Fund".
Wear a PINK ribbon to honor a loved one affected by breast cancer.
Compete for TOP FUNDRAISER by asking friends and family to support you and take home a nice prize! Make checks payable to “CSCRB, Inc.”, the registered non-profit that supports this important research. Or raise funds on your own Pink Pumpkin Pedal-Off fundraising page through Active.com.
Organize a team to show your collective support and compete for group prizes, such as best dressed and best fundraisers!
The Pedal-Off ends at the PINK Pumpkin Fest where you'll recover with a warm lunch, then select your very own pink pumpkin from the "patch". Decorate it to honor a loved one touched by breast cancer.
Bring the kids along, too, because there's Pee Wee Pedal-Off for kids ages 12 and under. Kids can decorate their bikes, participate in a parade and compete for prizes for best-decorated bike!
