Beginning Bellydance - Beginning Bellydance - Session II

About This Activity

(Ages 15+) Bellydance, also known as "raqs sharqi" and "danse orientale," is known for toning and shaping the body. Join us as we learn basic technique and get a fun workout at the same time! Each class includes a warmup and cool down, and teaches basic slow and fast dance movements that are the foundation of this dance form. No previous dance experience is necessary.
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in, such as leotards, tank tops and shorts, yoga pants or leg-gings. We will be doing some conditioning on the floor so, if you choose to wear a broomstick skirt, please wear leg-gings beneath it. You may dance barefoot or in soft dance slippers.
