As part of its 40th Anniversary Celebration, the Portland Marathon is proud to announce the new 10K Downhill Dash, a competitive run (not a walk) for those who can go the 10K distance in 60 minutes or less.
The Downhill Dash will be a fast course that traces the final 6.2 miles of the full Marathon route. Scheduled for October 9th during the morning of the Portland Marathon, the Dash is limited to a field of just 250 runners.
The Dash will be a chip-timed event that starts at 8:00 am beside Columbia Annex Park just off Willamette Blvd.
10K Downhill Dash participants will receive a performance grade finisher shirt, a medal, a commemorative bib, the Marathon commemorative poster, a space blanket, a rose and a tree seedling—plus the benefit of the same replenishment food and beverages provided to our Marathoners and Half Marathoners at the finish.
Packet Pickup will be at the Portland Marathon Expo held at the Hilton Portland and Executive Tower, 921 SW Sixth Ave., Portland on Friday, October 7 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Saturday, October 8 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. NOTE: THERE IS NO PACKET PICKUP ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9TH, THE MORNING OF THE EVENT!
