Raising funds for the Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project and raising awareness of our global water issues...
We hope you will join us for the 2010 High Country Hustle, an opportunity for the community and state to come together to raise awareness for our water issues. We are proud to host this 6k run/walk, right here in Creede, along the Headwaters of the Rio Grande.
Please come early to hear our key note speakers, and stick around to enjoy the live music generously provided and performed by Don Richmond, Scott Russell, and Creed de Avanzar! We encourage participants and observers alike to arrive at the Ball Park by 9:30 am to complete registration and enjoy the activities. We hope you will then plan on spending the better part of the day in Creede to enjoy some of what this awesome town has to offer!
In light of the recent passing of local leaders Doug Shriver and Ray Wright, who were so instrumental in the San Luis Valley water communities, individuals and groups are encouraged to participate in their memory.
All monies raised will be donated to the Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project. Event fees will be $20 for pre-registries, and $30 for registries on the day of the event. Fees will include an event t-shirt and post-run/walk refreshments.
The High Country Hustle will be a fun and exciting way for the community and state to come together and support water awareness and local water improvement activities. Please join the worldwide water movement on the morning of April 18th, 2010 at the Creede Ballpark.
If you get a chance, please join the High Country Hustle event on Facebook.
We look forward to seeing you there! Plan on coming early and staying later to join in the fun!
Remember to pre-register (see link below). If you are unable to attend the event, we hope you will support this effort and contribute to the cause. Please make a donation (see link above) to this fund for the Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project, and show us you care about our river!
