Brief Description:

Bring your running shoes to San Francisco and join your colleagues on a 5K Run (3.1 miles). The morning views of the San Francisco Bay are spectacular! Onsite race registration, race number and commemorative technical T-shirt pickup takes place at the Bausch & Lomb Booth, #1124, located in Moscone South. On site race registration takes place Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. The race is limited to the first 325 participants. There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Fees:

$50.00 donation to the Eye Bank Association of America is tax deductible to the extent of the law

Bausch & Lomb Booth #1124, Moscone South:

Onsite race registration will be available at the Bausch & Lomb Booth, #1124, in Moscone South for one day only, Saturday, October 24, 2009 between the hours of 8:30AM to 5:00PM. Pre-registered race participants need to come to the booth on Saturday to pick up their bib numbers and pre-ordered tee shirts. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Course Description:

Join us on this fast, flat 5K which starts next to the Famed AT&T Park, Home of the San Francisco Giants. Head out from the park and run along China Basin and the McCovey Cove area. As we traverse the New Campus of the UCSF Medical School, we will come out on the shore of the San Francisco Bay. Heading back north, we will again cross China Basin, running the outside perimeter of AT&T Park , finishing at the San Francisco Yacht Harbor on the Embarcadero.

Race Day Afternoon at the Run for Vision 5K booth:

During the hours of 2:30PM to 5:00PM you are invited to come to the Run For Vision booth to pick up your complimentary Run for Vision finish line photo in a souvenir photo sleeve. The top two overall female and male age group winners can pick up their medals when picking up their photos. The age groups for the race will be 20 - 29; 30 - 39; 40 - 49; 50 - 59; 60 - 69; 70 - 79; 80 plus.

Event Description:

Race day will begin with the group gathering near AT&T Park (near the San Francisco Giants Stadium) at 2nd Street and King Street, at 6:00 AM. The exact starting location of the race will be provided at the 5K Run booth. Announcements and a quick warm-up will take place at 6:15 AM with the race starting at 6:30 AM sharp. The race will conclude with the awarding of medals for the top three overall male and female winners. The 24th Annual Run Vision 5K, is sponsored by Bausch & Lomb. Proceeds will benefit the Eye bank Association of America.
