Brief Description:

The race kicks off with a 2.4-mile, single-loop swim in Tempe Town Lake. The relatively flat three-loop, 112-mile bike course heads out of Tempe and zig-zags out to the Beeline Highway, which gradually climbs approximately 10 miles through the Sonoran Desert to the turnaround just before Shea Boulevard.The 26.2-mile run course is flat and spectator-friendly with a few small rollers, as athletes wind their way around Tempe Town Lake and through Papago Park.

Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to Without exception, all requests must be received on or before October 3, 2012 to be eligible for a partial refund of $150.00 (USD). Transfers or deferments are NOT permitted. *Withdraw policy also applies to Ironman Foundation Slots*

Ironman Foundation Slots:

Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will each cost $1,300.00 USD, which includes athlete registration and a $650.00 tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. One hundred percent of all donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities based in Arizona. Deferments or transfers are NOT permitted.

2012 Ironman Arizona will serve as one of the worldwide qualifying events for the 2013 Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i. *** Entrants must be at least 18 years old on race day ***
