Athletes are to register one party at a time. Your registration is not complete until you have received your registration confirmation page via E-mail. Once received, please log out of Active.com. To begin a new registration, close your browser and log back in to the registration page. Please review your confirmation page carefully and notify Hawaii70.3@ironman.com with additional questions in regard to your registration.

Ironman Foundation Slots:

Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will each cost $650.00 USD, which includes athlete registration and a $325.00 tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. One hundred percent of all donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities. Deferments and/or transfers are NOT permitted.

Withdraw/Refund Policy:

Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to Hawaii70.3@ironman.com. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before April 17, 2012 to be eligible for a partial refund of $75.00 USD. Transfers or deferments are NOT permitted. *Withdraw policy also applies to the Ironman Foundation Slots*

State and Big Island Slots:

State and Big Island Resident’s meeting residency requirements are eligible for resident lottery slots for the 2012 Ironman World Championship. Athletes will be required to complete the 2012 Ironman 70.3 Hawai'i within the official cut-off times to qualify for the lottery. The lottery will take place the week following the 2012 Ironman 70.3 Hawai'i.

State and Big Island Slots Continued:

Athletes interested in a State or Big Island Resident lottery slot must be full time residents of the State of Hawai'i for at least three years before the upcoming Ironman World Championship race.

Important Residency Requirements:

Athletes interested in a State or Big Island Resident lottery slot must be full time residents of the State of Hawai'i for at least three years before the upcoming Ironman World Championship race. For example, for 2012 you must have resided full time in Hawai'i since October 13, 2009. Full time means not being gone for more than 4 months. Owning a vacation home in Hawai'i or a full time residence elsewhere does not qualify you for residency.

Important Residency Requirements Continued:

Due to the three-year residency requirement, proof of residency must be submitted to the Ironman race office between February 1, 2012 and April 6, 2012. Submissions received after April 6, 2012, 4 p.m. will not be accepted. Residency proof must include a copy of your current State of Hawai'i drivers license or State of Hawai'i Identification.

State Tax/W2 Forms:

Copies of your State of Hawai'i Resident tax forms from 2009, 2010 and 2011 (front page only, sensitive information covered up) OR copies of your W2 Forms from 2009, 2010 and 2011 OR a letter from your employer or landlord stating length of association.

To Submit Residency:

Anyone who submitted residency information in 2011 needs to submit only their identification plus their 2011 State of Hawai'i Tax form or W2 form. Please fax these documents to the Ironman race office (808) 326-2131 or mail to: Ironman Triathlon Attn: Triathlon Residency 74-5599 Alapa St. # 1, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740. You may also E-mail honuresidency@ironman.com. Please confirm receipt of residency information prior to April 6.

Submit Residency Continued:

USA Triathlon’s Age Group Competition rule:

All qualifying events will implement both the International Triathlon Federation and USA Triathlon’s Age Group Competition rule: All age group athletes must compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31st of the year of the event.

USAT:

USA Triathlon will sanction Ironman 70.3 Hawai'i. To complete the online registration process, athletes will need to enter their USAT annual license number or purchase a one-day license ($12.00 USD) during online registration. Athletes must bring their photo identification and show proof of current USAT membership during athlete check-in. Otherwise, it will be required to purchase a one day license on-site.
