Brief Description:

The UCF chapter of Engineers Without Borders is hosting this event to benefit Haitian families. Registration proceeds benefit earthquake relief, the EWB UCF water project in Mare Brignol, Haiti, and Global Water Challenge.

Volunteers who register online here will receive a free shirt when they report for duty.

Event is rain or shine.

Fees:

$30 for Individuals
$225 for Team of 10
Cash or Checks to EWB USA only on race day

Compete:

The first 50 participants to register as 'Water Carriers' will be eligible for prizes. Water Carriers demonstrate the challenge of the people we are trying to help by personally carrying 1 gallon of water (container provided) the entire course distance. The top ten Water Carriers receive stainless steel water bottles and the top three receive additional prizes. Preregistration is required to compete. Brief awards ceremony at 9:15 a.m.

Parking and Course Map:

Volunteers are needed for packet pickup. Please indicate you'd like to volunteer before race day when you register.

Enjoy enternainment by the Undercover Bandits, receive product samples from Proctor and Gamble, Thorlo and Aquaphor. Learn how to conserve water from South Florida Water Management District and Seminole County. Air2Water machine demonstration. Starbucks coffee available at 7 a.m. from Barnes & Noble [for sale].

Event Description:

Course is mainly flat and winds through the beautiful UCF campus. Runners and walkers will travel through Greek Park and even pass through building in center of campus where bookstore is (Washington Center).
