Event Description:

Live Earth Oklahoma - Kid’s and Family Run/Walk for Water

April 17th 2010 – Run/Walk begins at 1:30pm – Cost $10 (includes event shirt – Zoo admission)

The Oklahoma City Zoo and Live Earth Oklahoma have teamed up for an extraordinary afternoon of fun and learning at the OKC Zoo. The OKC Zoo Party for the Planet (11am-3pm) is celebrating Earth Day with you! Live Entertainment, animal feeding, giveaways and more.

The Live Earth Kid’s and Family Run/Walk for Water is a short 1K course around the North and East side of the Zoo – past many animal exhibits and finishing back by the Jungle Gym area! Kid’s are encouraged to run/walk with their water – and understand that their child counterparts in many areas of the world have to travel over 4 miles to even find a source of water for their families. Water4.org will be on hand back at the party for The Planet to show how water wells are hand drilled in Africa and other areas of the world.

Be part of this fun and powerful event – proceeds are going to fund Water4.org projects and water awareness. What a great way to get your kids to learn more about the world they live in! Sign up today!
