Entry Fee Includes:

Includes a complimentary ticket to the Carbo Loading Party, Awards Party, a pack with special race souvenirs and the New Zealand Government Tax of 12.5%

Entry Fee Information:

The entire entry fee is refundable in full to any applicant not accepted. For contestants confirmed in the race, NZ $155 is not refundable prior to and on January 17 2010. After January 17 2010 under no circumstances will refunds be given. ENTRY FEE IS NON-TRANSFERABLE (to other events or other years). A processing fee will be applied to all entries.

Prizes:

Top 10 male & female Pro finishers are eligible to receive prize money. Top 3 finishers (male & female) in each age group will receive trophies. All finishers within the cut-off time of 17 hrs will receive a distinctive commemorative shirt & medallion.

Age Groups:

The following categories apply to both men and women: 18-24 25-29 30-34 35-39 40-44 45-49 50-54 55-59 60-64 65-69 70+
Ages will be calculated as at 31 December 2010.

Swim Course:

3.8km swim in the warm, clean, fresh waters of Lake Taupo. Water temperature is normally around 19 degrees Celsius. Wetsuits are complusory.

Bike Course:

2 lap flat to undulating 180 km safe cycle through Taupo and surrounding areas. The spectacular scenery will inspire you.

Run Course:

42.2 km run over a two lap out-and-back course, which is fast and mostly flat.

Kona Slot:

You no longer have to specify if you wish to compete for a slot to Kona. Everyone is eligible for a slot and it is up to the athlete as to whether he/she accepts his or her slot at the registration process on the morning following the race.
