USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States.
Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place,
liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.

Brief Description:The swim will be held at Sand Hollow Reservoir. The bike course will lead athletes through the towns of Hurricane and Washington. Athletes will begin the two-loop marathon course that heads out for a climb toward Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. The race will finish alongside Heritage Tower with a backdrop of downtown St. George. Ford Ironman St. George will serve as one of the worldwide qualifying events for the 2010 Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI

GENERAL ENTRY CLOSED:Ironman Community Foundation slots available.

Refund/Withdrawal Policy:Withdrawal requests must be received in writing via E-mail to stgeorge@ironman.com. Without exception, all requests must be received on or before March 15, 2010 to be eligible for a partial refund of $150.00 (USD). Transfers or deferrals are NOT permitted.

Ironman Community Foundation Slots:Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will each cost $1,100.00 USD, which includes athlete registration and a $550.00 tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization. One hundred percent of all donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities based in St. George.

USAT:USA Triathlon will sanction Ford Ironman St. George. To complete the registration process, athletes will need photo identification and must show proof of current USAT membership or purchase a one-day license ($10.00 USD) during online registration.
