Increase Your Speed Through Stretching

The importance of flexibility to your athletic performance cannot be overstated.

Todd Durkin, the owner of Fitness Quest 10, has worked with numerous NFL players in his career as a strength, speed and conditioning coach. His list of clients includes quarterbacks Drew Brees, Carson Palmer and Aaron Rodgers, as well as running back LaDainian Tomlinson, tight end Kellen Winslow and others. To each of them--and the rest of his clients--Durkin stresses the importance of stretching to maximizing athletic potential.

In this video, Durkin demonstrates a hip flexor stretch that he emphasizes to his clients, due to its effectiveness in improving flexibility, speed, and ultimately, performance on the football field.
