Camp DetailsDigging in the Dirt: Get ready to discover all the wonderful plant life and creepy crawlers in our environment. Learn about plants, bugs, soil, light and water as you investigate the ecosystem of dirt. There's even an opportunity for campers to view creepy and not so creepy crawlers under a microscope! Campers will also enjoy a hands-on field trip to a local farm. How'd They Do That?: How did Edison create the lightbulb? How do catapults work? How do they make those giant bubbles? Which is stronger - wind or water? What is solar energy & how does it work? Students take part in exciting inside/outside experiments that answer the question: How’d they do that??!!
Mount Olive School District's Innovation Station is an exciting camp for children entering 1st through 8th grades. It engages students in high quality experiences in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) areas. Your child will enjoy two classes per week that are hands-on and fun, as well as educational field trips that allow them to explore, create, and experience STEM in new ways.
