Brief Description

ELIMINATION RACES- *Saturday, April 13* RECREATIONAL SKATE, HALF AND FULL MARATHON- *Sunday, April 14* Full Marathon: (approx 28.2 miles): $60 on or before 03/24 & $70 beginning 03/25. Half Marathon: (approx 14.1 miles): $40 on or before 03/24 & $50 beginning 03/25. Recreational Skate: (approx 4.6 miles/lap); 1-3 laps; un-timed, no awards: $25 on or before 03/24 & $35 beginning 03/25. Eliminiation Race: $20 on or before 03/24 & $25 beginning 03/25.

Additional Information

Skaters will skate a loop in the Dell Diamond parking lot. The last skater to cross the finish line is eliminated on each lap. Distance and number of people eliminated is TBA. Includes mat-free chip timing system, course support, complimentary beverages, food, event T-shirt and goody bag. Elimination Race does NOT include above and Recreational Skate does NOT include awards or timing.

AWARDS: Awards are given in the following categories:
Full Marathon:
Pro – Overall 1st – 5th; Pro Masters – Overall 1st – 3rd; Open – Each age division 1st – 3rd.
The overall male and female winners receive an official Texas Road Rash Windbreaker Jacket. Cash purse added as prize for full marathon.

Half Marathon:
Overall and Age Division 1st -3rd

Recreation Skate/Untimed: No awards are given.

THE COURSE
The course is a smooth, closed multiple looped course through Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park. The course is swept on prior to the race.

The course starts by the Dell Diamond and continues North on Harrell Parkway. The first road to the right is Aten Loop and follows around the Baseball, Softball and Football Fields. The next right hand turn is at TC Oates and heads towards CR 122. Skaters will make another right turn onto Red Bud Lane (CR 122) and head south towards Hwy 79 and complete the loop back into the park.

Laps:
The Recreation Skate/Untimed particpants will skate between 1-3 laps. The half marathon participants will loop the course 3 times and full marathoners will loop the course 6 times.

Aid Stations:
Two aid stations are provided for participants on will the course. Sag wagons are on the course at all times.

Directions:
Take IH-35 to Highway 79 in Round Rock. Travel east on Hwy 79 about 5 miles. The park is on the North side of Hwy 79, at Harrell Parkway. The entrance is just West of the Dell Diamond.

SAFETY & RULES
Helmets and wrist guards are mandatory. Knee and elbow pads are recommended. Inline skates and quads only.

NO rollerskis, ski poles, skateboards, strollers, bandits, bikes, automobiles, or pets. Headphone use is prohibited.

Skaters are encouraged to stay within the coned area/lanes. For the safety of all skaters you must have the skating ability and skills to complete the course. The race officials reserve the right to remove skaters from the course. A sag wagon will be provided for medical reasons only. Skaters will be pulled off the course if a sag wagon is used.
