Brief Description

343 firefighters will climb 110 floors to honor the FDNY members who perished on September 11th, 2001 as well as those firefighters lost in the line of duty in Texas this past year. Physical exertion to honor their memory, financial proceeds to benefit those left behind.

Participant Check-in 0700

Participants must report to check-in by 0730 or they may lose their climbing spot.

After check-in report to staging.

Participants will gather in the open air courtyard. You will be grouped in the FDNY companies that were lost on 9/11. For example, Engine 235, Rescue 1, 10 Truck.

Participants will gather in front of the building for a group picture.

Opening Remarks 0815

Introductions, keynote address, guest(s) of honor.

Presentation of Colors, National Anthem, 5-5-5-5 bell ceremony

0846 Moment of Silence

Marks the moment Hijackers crash Flight 11 into floors 93-99 of the World Trade Center's North Tower, killing everyone on board and hundreds within the building

0847 Bagpipes

Dallas Firefighters Pipe and Drum will play Amazing Grace and will mark the departure of participants from the courtyard, making their way to the start of the climb.

Additional Information

This event is NOT A RACE, but rather an opportunity to pay tribute to our fallen brothers and sisters. Only active duty (paid or volunteer) firefighters are allowed to participate in this event. You should consult with your Physician before completing registration, and if you are not currently engaged in a physical fitness preparation plan, you should start now. Climbers are asked to gather pledges of at least $1.00 per floor. Participants can wear their PPE and SCBA, howver, no hand tools or similar equipment is allowed in the stairwell.
