Kate Hudson launched Fabletics to take the headache—and cost—out of shopping for active wear.
The leisure wear brand, which competes with Lululemon, but at a lower price point, doesn't operate any bricks-and-mortar shops. Instead, the membership-based online store sells active wear that's delivered to customers monthly.

How It Works
After you create an online profile, take a quick quiz that helps Fabletics learn what activities you enjoy. The quiz helps find outfits that fit your lifestyle. Each month you'll receive an email with outfits that are meant for your type of workouts. You can purchase the outfit or shop for single items. If you sign up for the monthly membership, $49.95 per month, outfits are discounted 40 percent. You can skip a month if you wish, there's no monthly obligation.
The outfits are chic and perfect for the fitness fashionista. Outfits can be worn running errands, to lunch, to the gym, and around town. And they're less expensive than other popular women's brands.
The frustrating part about shopping on Fabletics is that you don't know your size. The sizing chart is not accurate and more than half of the items don't have reviews stating if the item is true to size, runs big or small.
Buying outfits requires a lot of guesswork. If you ask customer service, they'll send you to the sizing chart online. Fortunately, they have a decent return policy, so if something doesn't fit right then you won't have an issue returning anything.
Fabletics might not be the Gucci of active apparel, but the quality is better than anticipated. Some of the sports bras say "for performance" but the support is not adequate for high intensity interval training or running more than a few miles. The leggings and capris show sweat stains, so you may just want to order black. For moderate exercise the apparel is great because you won't sweat as much, therefore sweat stains won't show through.
