4. Not Getting Enough Zzz's
The Problem: It's easy to put your sleep on the back burner because of work or family time. But it's not good for your body and overall health. Studies show that inadequate sleep decreases our leptin hormone levels and increases our ghrelin hormones, which together work to increase appetite.
What to Do About It: Try to get eight hours of sleep every night. Go to bed earlier if you have to wake up at the crack of dawn. You'll feel so rejuvenated and your body will be thanking you.
5. Your Chilly Apartment
The Problem: Some studies report that people tend to eat more when they're cold. And when it's cold outside, people eat heavier, high-fat foods.
What To Do About It: When it's cold outside put extra layers on to keep war. Add in an extra jog or spurts of jumping jacks to keep your body warm and metabolism moving.
