T-shirts have sold out every year. Register by Friday November 30, 2012 if you want to guarantee a T-shirt in your size. New this year 2XL t-shirts available in limited quantity. 2XL T-shirts add $3 per shirt ordered,
Registration fee includes a T-shirt and reindeer ears but only guaranteed if registration received by November 30, 2012. After that sizes and availability cannot be guaranteed. T-shirts have sold out every year so don't wait to the day of the race to register if you want a shirt.
Family registrants will not be eligible for individual prizes but will be eligible for the family prize. The aggregate time of the family runners (divided by the number of runners) will be added together to determine the overall family time. A family consists of a minimum of 3 runners, maximum of 6 runners who are of the same family (participants in strollers not included in time) Family registration includes 4 t-shirts, two additional family members may be registered for 15.00 each.
Under 13 Race Information
Children under 13 free if running with a participating adult but does not include a T-shirt. T-shirts are $12. All under 13 participants receive a finishers award and certificate. Children under 13 who wish to be timed and entered in the under 13 awards competition must pay the registraion fee. Pets on leash allowed but must be controlled at all times including waste clean up by owner.
The 5K Run/walk is a USA Track and Field certified route. Certification #04044-PH. The course will start and finish at the Medical Arts Parking Lot Entrance on Hay Street Downtown Fayetteville across from the Airborne and Special Operations Museum. Participants will go up Haymount Hill, turn right on Woodside Ave, Left on West Rowan Street, right on Oakridge, left on Woodland Dr. U-turn and return back to start. Timing will be done with the disposable Chrono Track System.
A trophy will be awarded to the school, club or organization with the largest number of participants. Groups must be registered by Friday 12/14/12 to be eligible. Participants should indicate the name of their organization on the entry form. This is not based on times but on the number of entries received from that group. A minimum of 6 entries is required to be recognized as a group. Group participants will pay the individual registration fee and are eligible for individual awards.

Pet, Stroller and Walker Information
Runners with pets may be asked to leave if the pets are causing a disturbance. All pet owners must be prepared to clean up after their pets. Walkers, non competitive runners with pets and non competitive runners with strollers will be asked to start in the back. No charge for children in strollers.Prizes awarded to the top overall male and female finisher and the top three male and female finishers in the following age divisions: under 13, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39,40-49, 50-59 and 60+. Prizes also presented to the top three family finishers, the best costumed runners, top 3 pet finishers and their owners, top 3 runners with strollers, and best decorated strollers. Trophy presented to the group with the most number of participants. All under 13 participants receive a finishers award. Walkers are welcome to participate. Course is challenging but the race is fun for all levels. Last year 880 runners registered for this event.
