The 5K and 1-miler are entirely flat and fast courses on the roads throughout the Arkansas Agricultural Research and Experiment Station in Fayetteville. The planned routes are also completely different than the one used at the Chile Pepper 10K. The first 200 registrants will receive a t-shirt and a goody bag. The preferred t-shirt size will be guaranteed if registered prior to October 8th. After this date, t-shirt sizes will be available on a first-come basis. Race day registration and packet pickup will be available at the Agri Park pavilion from 6:00 am - 7:45 am for the 5K race and until 8:30 am for the 1-miler race. Door prizes and awards will be presented after the races. Awards: Top 3 Overall Male/Female for both 5K and 1-Miler races, Top 3 Male/Female in 10-year age group increments from ages 10 & under to 70+ for the 5K, Top 3 Male/Female in the children?s age group 10 & under for the 1-Miler, and the Overall Fastest Department at the University of Arkansas. Proceeds from the race will benefit a Jack Pijanowski scholarship fund via the Department of Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences Graduate Student Club.
