Active.com Editorial Assistant
Beth Roessner is the editorial assistant for Active.com. After a lifetime of inactivity, Beth decided to trade in her couch-potato lifestyle for a pair of running shoes and is very happy she made the change. She replaced nightly television with nightly runs and processed foods with whole, natural ingredients—and she never looked back.

Beth always enjoyed cooking before but with her new lifestyle, it became a fun challenge to make healthy and satisfying meals from scratch. Since turning over this new leaf, Beth has become addicted to collecting cook books, subscribing to lifestyle magazines, scouring the Internet for healthy tips and tricks, and running half marathons. She believes in cooking with fresh, whole ingredients, the cleansing power of a long run and that anyone has the power to change their life for the better.
But, 13.1 miles doesn’t feel like enough anymore. Beth has goals of participating in marathons and making the transition into multisport with the eventual goal of participating in an Ironman 70.3. On top of her athletic accomplishments, Beth also has her master’s degree in journalism and mass communication.
