About This Activity

Tabata is an "Advanced Interval training requiring 8 rounds of 1 exercise, performed to failure.  Each round consists of 20 seconds of "all out" effort with 10 seconds of rest, totaling 4 minutes.  Any exercise that is intense and requires participants to work above their steady-state ability is suitable for Tabata. Exercises may be performed with equipment or with the use of body weight as resistance.  Each 4-minute round will be followed by 5-6 minutes of active recovery drills before the next 4-minute round is introduced.  All levels of fitness are welcome and modifications to exercises will be provided."
