ATTENTION NON-DOD PARTICIPANTS
Due to heightened security measures, Eglin AFB has changed their base access procedures. Please review below and provide requested information for race participation.
In accordance with the Eglin Installation Defense Plan, all non DoD ID card holders will be checked (vetted) through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) before being issued an installation entry pass or badge.
Required Info for Non-DOD Participants
In order for guests to be properly vetted and gain installation access, we require a Date of Birth, Social Security Number, and Driver's License number and State. This information is necessary for all participants AND their guests.
Disclosure of this information is voluntary; however, declining to submit required information will result in registrants and guests being denied access to Eglin AFB.
In Person registration
There will only be one in person registration date for this race, May 12th, at the AF Armament Museum. This will be the only time to pay with cash and pick up your package. All other entries must be done online at Active.com before the 2000 person cutoff! No exceptions
The Wheelchair Division for the Gate to Gate is limited to Push Rim Wheelchairs. Hand Crank Chairs will not be allowed on the course.
Free Kids Run
There will also be a 1 Mile Fun Run for children 5-6, 7-8, and 9-12 free of charge.

The only day for In-person Registration will be 12 May 2012, at the AF Armament Museum, from 10:00am to 4:00 pm. Online entries will continue to be accepted until the 2,000th person cutoff or until 18 May 2012; whichever comes first.
The Eglin Package Pick-up will be May 23-24 at Crossroads (old Enlisted Club; across from the Fitness Center), from 10:00am- 4:00pm. The last Package Pickup before raceday, will be May 26, at the AF Armament Museum, from 10:00am to 4:00 pm.
All participants and their guests MUST enter the base Monday morning through the West Gate and follow the signs to the race location. They MUST have a photo ID to verify registration at the gate. ALL runners and guests MUST be registered no later than 18 May 2012. Participants not registered will be turned away at the gate.
It is HIGHLY recommended that you pick up your package at the AF Armament Museum May 12, May 26 or at Crossroads May 23 or May 24 to ensure you have access to the base. Final Package Pickup is at the finish area, the morning of the race from 0530-0630 only. Photo ID is required for ALL package pick-ups.
Gate to Gate 4.4 Mile Run/ Walk and America's Kids 1 Mile Fun Run.
TIME AND LOCATION
GATE-TO-GATE RUN/WALK: There will be a staggered start at the old Child Development Center on Eglin AFB, just south of the parking and Race Party location. Run will start at 7:28 am, so be there early!
KIDS 1 MILE FUN RUN
There is a separate free kid’s fun run after the Gate to Gate run. It will begin at the corner of Chinquapin Dr and Eglin Blvd and proceed beyond the All Veterans' Memorial and back. Participation t-shirts will be given at the end of the run. It will start at approximately 9:00 am.
The 4.4 mile, point-to-point course starts at the old Child Development Center of Eglin AFB, winding up to and then following Eglin Blvd to Memorial Drive at the end of the Runway, winding around to finish in front of what used to be Oak Hill Elementary School. There will be flowers for each runner to drop at the All Veterans' Memorial during the 4.4 mile run. Water/aid stations will be just after the 1, 2, and 3 mile markers. Splits will be called at each mile. This is a USAT Certified Course (pending).
Parking will be available at the new race location and will be directed upon arrival. Follow the signs from the West Gate to the parking area.
There must be at least one female on the team to compete. Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in the open and military divisions. A traveling trophy will be awarded to the first team in the military division.
COMPETITION RULES:Lowest accumulated time of the first four finishers for each team, which must include at least one of the team's female runners.
OPEN DIVISION: Teams not representing military organizations or units.
Teams represent a Military organization or unit. All team members must be Active Duty, Reserve, Guard government civilians, or contractors assigned to the unit forming the team and their spouses.
TEAM CONTACTS/CAPTAINS: Each Team Captain/Contact must obtain a Team Roster Form from the link on this site. ALL TEAM MEMBERS WILL BE DESIGNATED ON THE TEAM ROSTERS BY THE TEAM CONTACT/CAPTAIN AND DELIVERED TO THE BASE FITNESS CENTER BY 1200HRS ON MAY 18TH. A printed team listing will be available at the Fitness Center after 1200hrs on May 21st and at the Armament Museum on Saturday, May 26th.

Gate to Gate Run:
Special awards to: the top three overall male and female, the top three Masters male and female (40+), and the first Grand Master male and female (50+). Awards to the first male and female Push Rim Wheelchair overall.
Runners Age Groups: Awards will also be given to the top three male and female runners in the following age groups:
0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Walkers Age Groups: Awards will also be given to the top three male and female runners in the following age groups:
0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Gate to Gate Walk:
Special awards to the first overall male and female, the first Masters male and female (40+), and the first Grand Masters male and female (50+). *Please note: all awards will be based on the participants "gun time". Should "net time" be provided, it will be for personal record information only.
