JUNIOR LIFEGUARD - SESSION 3This dynamic inclusive program provides an introduction to Water Safety/Rescue, First Aid, and CPR in a fun and challenging environment. Each day, participants enjoy a variety of beach and water activities designed to promote fitness, self-esteem, and teamwork. Focus is given to personal safety and awareness of water safety for others. In addition to the extensive core curriculum, a specific theme will be emphasized each session. Children who participate in both the morning ad afternoon units of a session will receive a commemorative pin recognizing their accomplishment. There will be one snack break during the morning and afternoon units. Please pack a well-balanced snack. The lunch hour will be monitored by instructors. Depending on the program site, lunch items may or may not be available for purchase. Please pack a hearty lunch Participants must a pass a 25 yard swim test administered on the first day of each session. Parents must be present for this swim test. Successful completion of the swim test is mandatory for program participation. If a parent has any doubts regarding their child's ability to pass the swim test, a pre-test is highly recommended. Please refer to pre-test procedures for more detailed information. There is a 10% discount for each additional session when an individual child enrolls in multiple sessions during the same year and MUST be in the same transaction. There is a 10% discount for each additional child when more than one child from the same family is enrolled at the same time and MUST be in the same transaction. Discounts will be taken on the lowest priced session. Discounts are only available at the time when registering. Discounts will not be given on-site.Registration RequiredSession 3: Mayhem Management-- Do you have a plan for disasters: toxic gas release, wildland fire, or viral outbreak? This week focuses on preparedness: building a first aid kit, fire extinguisher use, wound management, and radio communications. Earthquakes, lightning, and blackouts, oh my!
