Pusteblume International Preschool is a brand new not-for profit organization located in the heart of Chelsea. We will offer 8 fun packed German and Spanish Immersion summer camp weeks in 2013.
Age group: 3-5 year olds.
Camp Topics (Topics will be the same for the German and Spanish program):
Session 1 - ALL ABOUT ME, everybody gets to know each other (7/8 – 7/12)
A week celebrating you, and everything you love! What better way than to start your summer at Pusteblume making new friends and telling them all about a very important person…YOU! We’re going to celebrate the things that make you unique through song, dance, and art. Create self-portraits, decorate mirrors, and design a poster about yourself.
Session 2 – OOEY, GOOEY SCIENTIST, time to experiment (7/15 – 7/19)
Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble… If you like things that are ooey, things that are gooey, and things that explode, then this is the week for you! Come make a volcano, a magic bubbling bottle, play dough, and an exploding bag. We will get down and dirty as we explore reactions, attractions, and messy concoctions.
Session 3 – BROADWAY BABIES, a music week (7/22 – 7/26)
Join us for a week of musical enrichment. Sing, dance, and make your own music while exploring instruments, rhythm, and movement. Discover music from different countries, make maracas, build drums, and possibly even visit a show. Learn to play some piano, and makes friends while doing it!
Session 4 – ITSY BITSY SPIDERS and BIG BAD BUGS (7/29 – 8/2)
Creepy Crawling, Inch By Inch we will explore the wonderful world of bugs. We will be keepers of our own lady bug garden, create our own fuzzy spiders, and play with dirt. Finish off your week with a great big bug hunt!
Session 5 – PRANCING PUPPETS (8/5- 8/9)
Follow Max on a wild adventure to “Where the Wild Things Are” as you make your own “Wild Things”. Learn about shadow puppets, hand puppets, and turn paper bags into funny friends. Ma
