Directions From I-20
Exit I-20 at Exit 1, SC230. Turn north onto SC230 towards Edgefield, SC. You will drive 16.5 miles (about 17 minutes) when you will see Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area on your right. There will also be a Baker?s Dozen sign. Turn into Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area and follow the signs.
Directions From SC28
Turn at Modoc onto SC23. Go 9.5 miles and you see SC230 merge with SC23. Turn right onto SC 230. Go 0.5 miles and you will see Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area on your left. There will also be a Baker?s Dozen sign. Turn into Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area and follow the signs.
Course Detail Part 1 of 3
Course will start at Horn Creek trailhead and travel down campground gravel road. At stop sign, course turns right onto paved road. At next stop sign, course turns right onto paved road. Road turns into gravel after 1/4 mile. Course enters Horn Creek Trail on left after 1/2 mile. Course follows Horn Creek trail back to same gravel road where you entered the trail. Course follows same route back to trailhead. This is 1 lap.
Course Detail Part 2 of 3
A lap is about 8 miles long, 6 singletrack and 2 gravel/paved. Only place where there will be two-way traffic is on gravel/paved roads.When you enter Horn Creek trail, you will be going slightly downhill over a lot of tree roots and bridges. There is a little climbing. You will cross a gravel road and enter a 1 mile climb. You will cross another gravel road and enter a very fast section. Starts flat, goes downhill, more flat, bridges and a little climbing.
Course Detail Part 3 of 3
You will cross another gravel road. Section starts flat where you can get very fast, has bridges, very sharp right turn on a climb that if you don't make the turn, you will fall into the creek. Course climbs for 1 mile. During this climb, you will go by the trailhead and end at the gravel road where you entered the first part of the trail.

Race Selection - 13 Hour or 6.5 Hour
The 3 Rider Youth category is only for the 6.5 hour race. All the other race categories are for both the 6.5 and 13 hour race. You just need to tell us which race you want to enter.
Awards 13 hr:Engraved 16-oz pint glass will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place men & women solo riders; 1st and 2nd place in 2-rider, 3-rider and 4-rider teams, except awards for the 4 rider Coed (at least 2 females) and 4 rider over 55 categories will only be given for 1st place in each of these 2 categories.Awards 6.5 hr:An engraved 16-oz pint glass will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place men & women solo riders; 1st place in 2-rider, 3-rider and 3-rider youth (10-15 yrs old).Participants must be 10 years of age. There is a waiver that has to be signed by all riders. If you are not 18 years old, you will need a guardian to sign on your behalf.
SORBA member $45, Non SORBA $50, Youth $35 for advanced registration. USFS parking fee $3. Registration on race day is $55/$65/$45.
