The Dunedin Triathlon has been one of the preferred sprint distance triathlons in the state of Florida since its launch in 2004. This race caters to new triathletes all the way several pro's who join us to race as they train for longer distances and stiffer competition. The atmosphere is professional but light and you'll enjoy one of the best post race celebration hosted by the Dunedin Rotary Club.
Event schedule and times
The morning begins at 7:20 a.m. with the youth super sprint division, ages 16 and under, who will race an open water swim about 400 yards, a 6 mile bike, and a 1 mile run (your child must have participated in at least one triathlon prior to this race and be able to participate). The Elite wave will begin at 7:30 am off the coast of Honeymoom Island and all category waves will take off in 3 minute incraments after 7:30 a.m. All athletes must be at the water's edge by 7:15 am. Transition area closes at at 7:10 a.m. and nobody can leave Honeymoon Island until transition re-opens when the final cyclist has completed the bike portion of the race around 9:15 a.m. For current information please go to www.DunedinTriathlon.com
