Join us in the downtown Duluth Town Green for a 7:30 a.m. start on May 28, 2016, for the 2nd Annual Fast Track 5K presented by the Southeastern Railway Museum with support from the City of Duluth, GA. Proceeds of the race will benefit restoration and conservation projects of the Southeastern Railway Museum.
The Southeastern Railway Museum occupies a 35-acre site in Duluth. In operation since 1970, SRM features about 90 items of rolling stock including historic Pullman cars and classic steam locomotives all this you get to enjoy FREE after the race as your race number will get you and 5 family members or friends free admission into SRM (train rides will be extra).
Event details and schedule
There will be late registration/packet pickup at SRM on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m....for those that cannot get to SRM on Thursday we will have registration/packet pickup at the start area in downtown Duluth in Taylor Park (at the fountain) beginning at 6:30 on race morning.
There will be plenty of food, fun and beverages at the finish of the race.
Race has a patriotic theme; Participants proudly display your red, white and blue! Strollers and pets on leashes welcomed.
The 5K will be USATF certified by race day in case you are running the Peachtree Road Race and run a qualifying time for seeding.
Directions to SRM will be provided to everyone (just over a mile away from the finish line)...there is plenty of parking at SRM so you and your family and friends can have a great afternoon touring the Museum and the grounds.
