Brief Description

Are you a fan of triathlons, but just dread the swim. Well, you have to try this off-road duathlon (run, bike, run). It replaces the swim, with another run segment! This race runs through the smooth, scenic trails at New Germany State Park. It will be a great, challenging-for-all-skill-levels duathlon.

Race Day Registration

There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive at 7:45 to get registered for the event. T-shirts sizes can NOT be guaranteed for race day registers. CASH OR CHECK ONLY (checks made out to Bishop’s Events, LLC).

Packet Pickup

Pre-race meetings will begin around 8:45 near the Start/Finish Line. As of now, there will ONLY be packet pickup on the morning of the event, plan to arrive NO LATER than 8:00am. If packet pick-up is available the day before the race, an email will be sent to all REGISTERED racers to inform them of this.

Race Course

The race will begin with a 1-mile trail run, then a 6.2-mile trail bike ride, and finishing with a 2-mile trail run.

Directions to Parking

Parking Lot is off of the main road into New Germany State Park near the Start/Finish Line for both races.

Timing

Chip Timing will be done by Race Packet.

Competitors

Ages 10 through 100 can compete in this event. All athletes 17 & under must purchase a YOUTH ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP ($10) at www.usatriathlon.org (and then register for this race as USAT Annual Members).

Awards

Awards will be handed out after the race near the transition area.

Additional Information

Come out and make this a weekend get-away and sign up for either the 5k & Duathlon… or the 10k & Duathlon. All racers who compete in the duathlon on Saturday AND the 5k or 10k on Sunday will earn a medal!

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required.
