Brief Description

Race #4 of the Triad Duathlon Series. 2.7 mile run - 12.6 mile bike - 3.1 mile run duathlon. Individual, 2-person relay, and 3-person relay divisions. Race begins at 8:00am. T-shirt and post-race food. Check out triviumracing.com for bike and run course maps and more information.

Additional Information

The proceeds of this race go to benefit two non-profit organizations. The first is the Triathlon Club of Winston-Salem, the organizing club. The club uses money it raises from sponsors, events, and club membership to help fund and support local races while also spreading the benefits of living a multisport lifestyle to people who live in Winston-Salem and the surrounding communities. The second is the Chariots of Freedom which uses the money to help children who could not normally participate in endurance events experience the excitement of race day.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
