Supporting area non-profits!
The Human Race is a fundraising event for area non-profits. The non-profit you choose to support will have created a fundraising team. Visit www.active.com/donate/dupagehumanrace2013 to find your charity's team and then create your own fundraising page to support the cause!
Mail-in registration forms along with other information are available at www.dupagehumanrace.org. Mail-in registration is $35 Walkers and $40 Runners through April 21, 2013. Race Day registration is $40 Walkers and $45 Runners.
USATF sanctioned course at the Esplanade at Locust Point. The 5K and Fitness Walk will begin at 1901 Butterfield Road in Downers Grove. The 5K will wind through the complex and the Fitness Walk will be an out and back course. Dogs, strollers and wheelchairs are welcome on the Fitness Walk.
Please allow extra time for parking as the Race will begin promptly at 9 AM.
Timing for the 5K
Those who register for the 5K will be chip timed and will be eligible for awards. Participants in the Fitness Walk will not be timed.
Awards will be given to the overall first place male and female and to the top three males and females in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and above.
The first 1500 registered Run/Walk participants will receive a t-shirt.
Race Packet Pick Up
Packet Pick-Up will be held at New Balance Chicago, 17W490 22nd Street, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 on 4/25 from 9am-noon and from 3-7 pmOn 4/26, packet-pick-up will be held at DuPage Medical Group, 430 Warrenville Road, Lisle, IL 60532 from 3-6 pm. Please enter on the west side of the building.
The Esplanade has an abundance of parking garage space but plan to arrive early so you can join us for some stretching and warming up. We will have the Downers Grove police help us keep traffic moving off of Butterfield and volunteers along the way to point you in the right direction. Cash prizes will be awarded to organizations in accordance with the following guidelines:
* $500 to the top fundraising organization
*$250 to the top fundraising individual?s choice organization
*$150 to the organization with the most fundraisers
*$100 to the organization with the most race participants
$30 Walkers and $35 Runners On-line; $35 Walkers and $40 Runners Mail-In; $40 Walkers and $45 Runners Day of Race
