You can still register at the race on Saturday morning!The Human Race is a 5K Run/Fitness Walk community event helping non-profit organizations raise awareness about their mission and raise funds. The race takes place on April 26, 2014. Sign up today and choose a non-profit org to receive the donation of your registration fee or raise additional funds for your charity of choice.

No Refunds Provided! The Race will take place rain or shine.

The Human Race is a fundraising event for area non-profits. The non-profit you choose to support will also have a fundraising team. Visit www.active.com/donate/dupagehumanrace2014 to find your charity's team or create your own fundraising page for the cause you support!

Mail-in Registration

Mail-in registration forms are available at www.dupagehumanrace.org. Registration Fees are:
$25 Walkers & $30 Runners (Jan 1 to Jan 31);
$30 Walkers & $35 Runners (Feb 1 to Feb 28);
$35 Walkers & $40 Runners (Mar 1 to Mar 31);
$40 Walkers & $45 Runners (after Apr 1)

The Course

USATF sanctioned course at the Esplanade at Locust Point. There will be 2 course routes and both the 5K and Fitness Walk will begin at 1901 Butterfield Road in Downers Grove. The 5K will wind through the complex; and the Fitness Walk will be an out & back course. Dogs, strollers and wheelchairs are welcome on the Fitness Walk route only.

Parking

Please allow extra time for parking. We are expecting over 1,500 participants. The Human Race will begin promptly at 9 AM.

Timing for the 5K

Those who register for the 5K will be chip timed and will be eligible for awards. Participants in the Fitness Walk will not be timed.

Awards

Awards will be given to the overall first place male and female; and also to the top three males and females in the following age groups will also be awarded:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.

T-Shirts

The first 1,500 registered Run/Walk participants will receive a t-shirt.

Race Packet Pick Up

There will be 2 dates to pick up your Race Packet and additional dates may be added:

(1) Enjoy a Family-friendly Packet Pick-up on Saturday 4/19 at the New Balance store at 17W490 22nd Street, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 from 10 am to 1 pm. Get Your Photo Taken With 'Newbie', fun activities and raffle giveaway prizes.

(2) Wednesday 4/23 at the New Balance store at - 17W490 22nd Street, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 - from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.

Parking

The Esplanade has an abundance of parking garage space. Plan to arrive early so you can join race participants for stretching and a warm-up. Downers Grove police will direct traffic to prevent a back-up on Butterfield Road. Volunteers will be to direct traffic into the parking garage. Cash prizes will be awarded to organizations in accordance with the following guidelines:
* $500 to the top organization fundraiser
* $250 to the top individual fundraiser (goes to their charity of choice organization)
* $150 to the organization with the most fundraisers
* $100 to the organization with the most race participants
