John Bush Joins Fight Against Leukemia and Lymphoma
You Help Me Help Give Hope To Raymond and Hannah And Countless Others -Racing to Save Lives
Thank You for Visiting my Team In Training home page. I am committed to Run 26.2 Miles in honor of these Children.
I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Raymond Herrera, Hemet, California is almost 7 years old. Unlike me, he lost his hair to treatment for Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. His bones started giving him major pain in his 6th year of life. He must have hope. Hannah Butler wants to go to College and will decide what to do from there. Let's all help give her hope. Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
My running has progressed to about 30 miles per week. Last Saturday I ran a 20 miler and now I expect to start tapering down for the Marathon at Long Beach on October 16, 2005. Two weeks ago I ran my first race, Loop the Lake Arrowhead, 15 Kilometers and I learned quite a bit about Strategy, I ran poorly but completed the run and I feel confident in the completion of the Marathon.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any consideration, however great or small, you may give to this request. I will do my very best to rack up miles so as to assure that I will complete this quest. I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
Look for me on Sunday, Octobber 16 at the Long Beach Marathon!
