Riding to help other young women with breast cancer

The start of this 200 mile journey marks Day 345 of my own breast cancer journey - I was diagnosed on October 16 2006 at the age of 33. I went through 4 months of chemotherapy and had a bilateral mastectomy in April of this year (read all about it at http://thecourtneyword.blogspot.com). I can't think of a better way to celebrate five months of living cancer-free than to ride to raise money to support the Young Survival Coalition, a group that provides young women like me with education, support, and community. Thanks to the generosity of so many of you, I am close to doubling my original fundraising goal of $4000, so let's shoot for the moon and make it an even $10,000. I am extremely grateful for your support, and will try to keep my blog updated with news from the road!
