Cathy left a legacy of love, compassion and spirituality. She never stopped giving. She never stopped living. |

| Many of you are aware that I lost my sister Cathy last September 18, following a six year battle with breast cancer. She left behind two young children, Matthew (age 13) and Melissa (age 10). While Cathy was an eternal optimist, breast cancer was the one obstacle in her life she was not able to overcome.
Riding in the York Tour de Pink this year is my way of honoring my sister for her courage and faith. I am asking for your financial support for the Young Survival Coalition, the only international network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the critical concerns and issues unique to young women and breast cancer.
Through action advocacy and awareness, the YSC seeks to educate and influence the medical, research, breast cancer, and legislative communities to address breast cancer in women 40 and under, and to serve as a point of contact for young women living with breast cancer.
YSC's York Tour de Pink 2007, sponsored by York Peppermint Patties and The Hershey Company, will feature 100 riders, some of whom are survivors of breast cancer. We will begin the 200-mile, 4-day bike ride from Chocolate World in Hershey, PA the morning of Friday, September 28, and arrive at Hershey's Times Square Store in New York City the afternoon of Monday October 1. One-hundred percent of the money riders raise goes to the YSC.
Please consider making a tax deductible donation to help raise awareness and financial support for the Young Survival Coalition.
Thank you for your support! |
