Marathon Mentors

Changing Lives with Every Stride

Youth Mentoring Connection awakens at-risk youth to their power, unique gifts and purpose by matching them with caring adult mentors. We envision a community where young people are truly seen and not just watched, where society understands and accepts its responsibility in meeting the needs of all young people, and where young people bring their gifts back into their communities as productive members of society.

Funds raised through the L.A. Marathon will support YMC's Odyssey Mentoring Program, which provides 35 high-risk youth with a life-changing mentoring experience each year. $1,000 provides mentoring, dynamic group activities, and full support for one youth for one year. As our runners embark on this amazing journey, please consider supporting our youth in their "odyssey"!
