| There are 3 easy ways to help these athletes experience the opportunity of a lifetime!
1. Donate to the international delegation of your choice!
- Each delegation attending the World Winter Games has their own fundraising page, and needs your help to raise the amount needed to cover the cost of their stay in Idaho, USA during the World Winter Games!
- Find the text box at the top of the page and either type in the country you wish to support, or click on the ‘Search’ button to view all delegations. All delegation pages may be viewed by clicking ‘Next’ in the menu of fundraising pages.
2. Build your own fundraising page, or start a group fundraiser to encourage your friends and family to support the Games too!
- To build your own fundraising page or create a group fundraiser, click ‘Become a Fundraiser’ at the top of this page.
3. Make a general donation to the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games!
- To make a general donation to the World Winter Games, click on the amount you would like to donate in the box to the right titled ‘Make a Contribution’ or enter the amount you would like to donate and click ‘continue’ to proceed.
Watch and track the athlete or delegation of your choice online during the World Winter Games!
During the Games, you will be able to track your sponsored delegation online by visiting www.SpecialOlympicsLive.org. Here, you will be able to see the athletes YOU supported compete, receive awards and experience the excitement of the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games.
With your support, we can continue the Special Olympics mission to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training and competition at the World Winter Games. In February, up to 3,000 athletes from more than 100 countries are expected to come together to celebrate the true spirit of competition through winter sports, and you can help bring them here!
