| The Wish Upon a Star Foundation Wisher Maker's 5k Run |

| On August 8, 2010, the Wish Upon a Star Foundation will be hosting our 1st Annual, “Wish Maker’s 5K Run”. In addition there will be a 1 Mile Walk and a Youth Run. This event will promote health and wellness in a fun, family environment while raising money for children with life-threatening illnesses in the Greater Will County area.
The Wish Upon a Star Foundation has been helping children for over thirty years. First incorporated as Baseball in the Snow inc., the donations collected for the first ten years were given to the Ronald McDonald House “Dream Flight” program. Then in 1989 a new Board of Directors was formed and the Wish Upon a Star Foundation was created to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses on an individual basis. The Foundation has granted hundreds of wishes over the years. Recently the Board of Directors received The President of the United States’ Call to Service Award. The Wish Upon a Star Foundation is 501© -3 charity. The foundation has one compensated Executive Director with the other work provided on a volunteer basis. A thirteen-member board oversees the operations of the foundation.
We are asking you for your support in out our endeavor. All cash donations will go towards the wish granting process.
