A Visit From Saint Nicholas
Share the Joy and Celebrate the Spirit of Giving
As the season of giving approaches, Volunteer San Diego teaches thousands of children around San Diego the spirit of kindness.

Saint Nicholas Feast Day, December 6th, is celebrated as a children’s holiday in many countries around the world. St. Nicholas lived in the fourth century and is best remembered for leaving bags of gold on the doorsteps of the poor.

You can share in the joy of anonymous giving by participating in this special day. In nine Title I schools (chosen for their high percentage of “at-risk” youth) in San Diego County, underserved Kindergarten through second grade students will be surprised the morning of December 6th with backpacks filled with toys and books on their desks.

Through January 2nd you can sponsor a child's participation in this program for just $25. A Visit From Saint Nicholas allows us to share the joy of giving and support year-long Volunteer San Diego programming.

*If your gift is $200 or more, we will send up to 8 "in Honor" or "memorial" cards to individuals you indicate.
*Gifts of $250 and above will receive a personalized thank you work of art from a participating child.
