| Perkins School for the Blind is proud to particiapte in VISION 5K, a run/walk event to raise awareness and funds for programs and services for children, adults, and elders experiencing sight loss.
Founded in 1829, Perkins School for the Blind was the first school for the blind in the US. Our mission is to provide education and services that build productive, meaningful lives for children and adults around the world who are blind, deafblind, or visually impaired with or without other disabilities. Serving people in 61 countries, all Perkins programs are grounded in a belief and respect that recognizes every person as a human being with potential to learn and grow.
