Please join us in RACING TO SAVE VICTIMS OF ABUSE at the "11th Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run" on April 28, 2013. The event and donations are in support of Northridge Hospital's Center for Assault Services (CATS). ( http://abuse-assaultservices.org )
CATS is the only 24-hour/7-day-a-week immediate response program in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita Valleys and surrounding cities providing specialized services to victims of sexual assault and abuse of all ages, as well as, domestic violence strangulation victims. More than 60% of the victims we see are under the age of 18, with the largest number of victims 6 years and younger, often repeatedly abused and scared into silence by their abusers!
CATS mission is to offer compassionate, comprehensive care to victims in a supportive and comforting environment designed to provide privacy and confidentiality. Our team of expert sexual assault nurse examiners provide forensic interviews, medical evidentiary examinations, evidence collection, assistance to law enforcement agencies in the investigation process along with referrals to partner agencies for crisis intervention counseling.
Please make your donation today! Your support will help us shine a light on these personal and devastating crimes so that TOGETHER we can BREAK THE SILENCE AND STOP THE ABUSE!
Thank you for opening your heart to CATS!
