Tri-ing to find a cure!
Here are my race socks!!
Thanks for coming by to check out my fundraising page. I know that some where in your life you, or a family member, or friend has been struck by the awful C word!! That's right! Cancer Sucks! Please help me by donating what you can to find a cure for cancer. On June 29th, 2008, I will be participating in IronGirl Atlanta, a sprint distance triathlon on Lake Lanier. The race consists of a 500 meter swim, an 18 mile bike, and a 3 mile run. The pain of doing this race is nothing compared to the pain and suffering endured every day by cancer victims and their loved ones. To honor them, I will be wearing my pink "Cancer Sucks" socks at all race events this year. Thanks again for helping me help in the fight for cancer. Happy tri-ing!! The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults (UCF), is a 501 c-3 non-profit charity organization based in Columbia, MD, is the first and largest organization in the country solely supporting young adults living with cancer. Dividing its programmatic efforts into patient advocacy, education and support, the UCF provides programs and services that reach thousands of young adults annually covering individuals, families and cancer centers in all 50 US States. The UCF’s mission is to provide support programs, education and resources, free of charge, to benefit young adults, their families and friends, who are affected by cancer, and to promote awareness and prevention of cancer. Since inception in 1997, the UCF has supported, educated and connected more than 50,000 young adults by dedicating more than $1 million to develop and deliver quality programs all across the country.
