Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children opened its doors to the children of Texas in 1921, when a Dallas orthopedic surgeon recognized a growing need to provide superior medical care regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Supported solely through donations, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children has emerged as one of the nation’s leading medical centers for the treatment of pediatric orthopedic conditions, certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia. For more than 12 years, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) has been the primary beneficiary of the Dallas White Rock Marathon. TSRHC treats Texas children with orthopedic conditions at no charge to patient families. The marathon provides financial support for TSRHC through race registration and sponsorships, allowing the hospital to continue to care for thousands of Texas children.
