| On Father's Day, June 17, 2007, We will be racing as a father/daughter team in the Tri-to-Win Triathlon at South Carroll Swim Club. This is the first triathlon either of us have entered. Our goals are: 1. to raise money for the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation, and 2. to finish the race... you can help with the first! As for the actual racing, we're on our own. Wish us luck! The “TRI-TO-WIN…the fight against melanoma” triathlon fundraising directly benefits the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation. The Foundation, an all-volunteer, non-profit charity, is known throughout Maryland and nationally as the voice for melanoma prevention, detection, care and cure. Triathletes, experienced and first-timers alike, join the community of patients, families, doctors, educators and concerned individuals to:
• support medical research that will ultimately lead to a cure for melanoma;
• seek opportunities to educate the general public on prevention and the seriousness of melanoma; and,
• provide resources for patients and the entire melanoma community.
Our collective efforts are important and all contributions are tax deductible to the Foundation, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, public charity - Federal Tax ID 55-0855653. |
