Join us for the second annual Tour de Harrison Ride on Sunday, June 21, 2009 (Father’s Day). The event is a family 10 mile bike ride to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Ride, cheer or just celebrate Father’s Day with family and friends. Money raised will go to the Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research which funds better treatments with fewer long-side effects and cures for childhood cancers. Last year, we raised $20,000 with 100 riders and 225 supporters. The money raised was issued as a grant to Dr. Adolfo Ferrando at Columbia University to bolster his research on NOTCH1 genes and their effect on T-cell leukemia. CLICK HERE. for more information about Dr. Ferrando’s research.

CLICK HERE to register for our 10 mile bike ride on June 21 at the University of Richmond’s Weinestein Athletic Center. Registration is at 3pm, ride begins at 4pm. Dinner is included at the conclusion of the ride. The ride route will begin at University of Richmond and ride down historic Grove Avenue to Byrd Park Fountain Lake and back. To ride or participate in the day's festivities tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for Youth (12 and under) before race day. Day of race registration is $35 for adults and $20 for youth. The first 100 registrants will receive a commemorative t-shirt. All riders will be entered into a free raffle for a Diamondback 21 speed comfort bike provided by Agee’s Bicycle.
