Jaime McKee's Team In Training Page
Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in the Country Music Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this race in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
This year, I am training on behalf of Paxten Mitchell. Paxten is 3 years old and was diagnosed with ALL in October, 2006. He relapsed in January of this year, and is undergoing chemotherapy to try and get back into remission, so that he may be able to receive new treatments to try and cure the disease. The Citizen-Times has been keeping up with him and you can read his story here.
My job is simple. I keep running, keep training and finish my race. In the meantime, I'm also raising money as part of Team in Training. My goal is to raise $1000 before the end of March. You can make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. Every donation is appreciated - and no donation is too small!
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
