David Chase's Dublin Marathon
So others can be as lucky as me
Welcome to my Team In Training home page for the Dublin Marathon. I am training to participate in The Dublin Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this marathon in honor of myself and all those individuals who are battling blood cancers. I'm also competing in this race in memory of my sister Trudy who passed away from melonomia in Dec 1997. As most of you probably know I was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphomia in March 2004, the day before I left to go skiing! I went through a six month chemotherapy regime, battling low platelets along the way. I finished the chemo in July 2004 and was given a clean bill of health in August 2004. I have been working on building my strength since then. Despite the ups and down of my chemo treatments I am very lucky. I had tremendous medical care and strong loving support from Judy, family and friends. I'd like others to be as lucky as I was so please contribute as much as you can. I have seen first hand what miracles modern medicine can bring. These miracles are made possible with your generous gifts Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! For those of you who would prefer to contribute by check, please make your check payable to "The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society TNT" and send it to me at 6 Old Katonah Dr. Katonah NY 10536. I will then forward the check to the TNT accounting center. Many heartfelt thanks !
