Racing to Save Lives
Hi! Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
I am training to participate in the 2006 Westchester Triathalon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. Now with some buddies of mine at NYMC (say hello to the D.O.L.Z!), I'm completing this marathon in honor of all the brave individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. At the time of its founding, only 4 out of every 100 children diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (the most common form of childhood leukemia) were expected to survive. :( a measly 4%! But today, more than 85% of children treated go on to live normal healthy lives. Isn't that just awesome??
