Racing to Cure Cancer
Hi! Willow here! Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. I will be walking a half marathon in Phoenix on Jan 14th 2007. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
As many of you know I am a cancer survivor. At 14 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Chemotherapy, radiation, pnemonia, and shingles are just a few of the things I had to endure during my treatment. I am happy to say that I have been cancer free for over 12 years now!!! I'm completing this half marathon and raising $3800 (hopefully more) so my daughter, Luna, never has to have cancer and endure what I did.
