Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in the Virginia Mason SeaFair Half-Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
This is my second Team in Training event and I am so pleased to be joining the cause again. Many of you that donated last year did so because of a friend or family member diagnosed with one of these diseases. I was honored to run in their names the last time and look forward to doing this again.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
I recently ran the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon on April 27, 2008 and was amazed at the event. The course was challenging (more so than you’d expect from Oklahoma) and the wind was a killer but I finished the run and bested my Alaska time. Training went well for that marathon but unfortunately I’m battling a case of shin splints and have had to change my event to the half marathon.
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
